Shepherd sets closing date on sale of St Columba’s Junior School and surrounding grounds in Kilmacolm

Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, acting on behalf of the Board of Governors of St Columba’s School, has set a closing date of 6th February at 12 noon for the disposal of St Columba’s Junior School and the surrounding ground in Kilmacolm.

Set in the picturesque village of Kilmacolm, St Columba’s is a renowned day school which is commonly known for being one of Scotland’s highest achieving schools. The school’s premises boast prime views of the village green as well as being located near Kilmacolm Tennis and Bowling Clubs.

Following the Board of Governor’s announcement to merge the Junior and Senior Schools together onto  one site, Shepherd Chartered Surveyors has been instructed to dispose of three adjoining buildings which include the original ‘Shalott Building’, a single storey building and the ‘Graham Building’ as well as the 2.6-acre site.

Steven Barnett, managing partner at Shepherd Chartered Surveyors, said: “We were delighted to receive instruction on behalf of the Board of Governors to dispose of the buildings and land that were deemed surplus to requirements as part of the merger.

“This instruction represents one of the most significant and high-profile land sales within the Kilmacolm area.”

“Since being released to the market, this opportunity has attracted interest from a wide variety of prospective purchasers, and this has ultimately led to the Board of Governors setting a closing date for 6th February at 12 noon.

“We would strongly advise all interested parties to formally register their interest with the sole agent prior to the closing date.”

Offers are invited. Interested parties should contact the sole selling agent on 0141 331 2807.
